Urgent human rights call - deportation to Uzbekhistan

Craig Murray is expressing concern about the proposed deportation of Uzbekhi dissident Jahongir Sidikov to the welcoming arms of torturing leader, President Karmiov.

It is nothing short of obscene that we should ship people back to as barbaric a regime as that which is in Uzbekhistan.

I urge blogger to publicise this matter widely and to contact MPS. If you get the usual bull about Sidikov not being in their constituency, I suggest that you tell your MP to get a spine to shiver up. Human rights are more important than the protocol of Westminster.

And remember just what is at stake - the safety of a human being and the matter of whether Britain has any claim left to be regarded as a decent country.As Craig puts it;

To sit in a condemned cell awaiting a relatively quick death must be awful. But to await the kind of things the Uzbek security services will do to you - and to be awaiting them in England - is unthinkable.

I hope in next few days to post on the human rights abuses in Uzbekhistan with which we are complicit. But don't wait. Visit Craig Murray's site!
