Technical Query

My postings often take hours before appearing. Can someone advise me how I can get them up quickly?

Question and possible solution.

1st is do you have post notification on? Blogger will email you your posts if you set it to, so you can at least know it's got to the server.

The possible solution is a cache issue, after you've posted, hit ctrl + f5 or ctrl+r to "hard refresh" and reload the page completely; normally hitting refresh can check a cache version instead of the most recent version, a bit like when you hit the back button and it loads instantly.

Of course, it could be neither of these but I've not had any problem at all recently. At least, not related to posts not showing.

It might even be cacheing on your ISP's server

Thanks Matt and Richard.

I have now put 'Post notification' on. Tonight's two postings have been followed by Control+R. The rsult is that both have immediately or there abouts appeared on screen. Hopefully, this will continue.

Check the time stamp on a post before you hit 'publish'. Make sure that it isn't somehow a few hours ahead.

I've made that mistake before.
