MY PROBATIONARY STUDIES

As a probationer Methodist minister, I have to undertake some studies before Methodism can ordain me. It is my intention to look at issues of realtionships between the three Abrahamic faiths. I hope to look at them from a viewpoint that gives credit to both shared treasures and areas of difference and possible misunderstanding.

I believe that this is a huge issue. Some time ago, Hans Kung suggested that peace in the world required peace between the religions and for this to happen it would be necessary for there to be respectful dialogue and understanding of the foundations of faith in the differing religions.

In the next few months I will be sharing on this blog some of the things I learn on this subject. I would appreciate any readers pointing me to valuable resources.
